#ENCOUNTER SERIES

This years Encounter has been a journey, not until recently i didn't know how to multi task, but planning Encounter, running God's mercy solution ministries and been a pastor of many has made me to learn this habit.

I am indeed glad with the journey so far and the progress we have made, it wasn't easy but God held us strong. it almost felt impossible, but God saw us through. in this Journey(preparation for encounter) i have been disappointed, i have been fustrated, i have been left stranded, and i have been abused, some felt i wasn't spiritual because i demanded commitment but after two editions of encounter and what i perceive as been the block in getting the desired outcome, i have decided to use every gift that God has placed in me to plan,

As i write i am in a hurry because i have a prayer meeting tonight by 12:30am. I have literarily had to do everything and be everything. There have been those who have supported and there have been those who have ascounded, but right now with the level of success i have achieved and the experiences i have had, i have learnt how to work with different people on the same thing. It has been fun seeing this baby grow. What has been my greatest encouragement is the prayer for encounter. There has always been participants, the prayer has shifted focus from making requests, to sincerely fellowshiping with God to find out his plans and his desires for us. It's been awesome! Another fun part has been the artworks for Encounter. Peter has been awesome, Everything you see we've designed is by Peter (Visual Kraft), he is a two month old digital artworks designer. we have brainstormed, strategized and designed together. What i love most about peter is his creativity.

Very soon Encounter will be on the web, Goke has been a gem, giving many ideas and templates and enlightening me on the best way to go about it, Lastly i would love to appreciate Samuel Adeyinka, gospelkonnect, com, My brother i can never repay you for all you've done. Rhoda you are rare. to all those who have prayed with us during our conference prayer calls i appreciate you, sam, funto, tobi, hilda kemi, valerie, henry, bro owolabi. I have to appreciate this brother for helping us and releasing his fellowship and excos to work with us. This years encounter will be awesome, not only are we making clothing available, there would be a special documentary on Encounter.

All i can say is whatever your hand findeth to do do it with all your hands, I have learnt not too be disappointed when men fail, I am always looking for the way out. I believe in people especially people with talent, I will never stop telling you how good you are, I am not a liar, and i can't cover people's ability. It is now left for you to know how to manage the accolades. Please don't let it get to your head no man is indispensable, God has blessed me with so many resources the problem i have is choosing. even Human resources. I am so blessed.

Humble as ever This years Encounter is special, so special!. Joining us are Pastor Steve Aiyanyo a humble man of God, so annointed. Brother Ransome, Tolubori, Emmanuel Edward. My favourite is Spontaneous worship I have dreamt of this for more than a year

How to develop Faith (#Encounter Series 5) Romans 10:

Every believer has faith and the level of faith each believer has is greater than that of a mustard seed.
When Jesus was talking about faith in the gospels he was speaking to the disciples as people who didn’t have faith who were not yet born again.

It is the Holy Spirit that births faith, the word alone apart from the Holy Spirit faith can’t develop. Once the disciples became born again they never told anyone to have faith all they said is grow in faith. Our focus now is growing our faith to do exploit. The faith we now have needs constant fellowship with the word to grow and increase, the apostles several times would admonish the saints to seek revelation and get understanding, Also that they might walk in the consciousness of what we carry for example in Col 3:16, we are admonished to let the word of Christ dwell in us richly, also in 1 pet 2:2 we are told to desire the sincere milk of the word in Romans 10:17 we are told that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, God’s emphasis and expectation for our lives after we are born again is to grow our faith, nowhere in the epistles would he say have faith or o ye of little faith, because we no longer have little faith we have great faith. Jesus spoke in the Gospels in this manner because the Holy Spirit had not yet come to birth faith in them. With the Holy Spirit in us our Faith comes. Faith is actually the Holy Spirit imbibing the word.

So as believers if we have received the word into our lives and the spirit has acted upon the word, we have faith. What next! Why does it seem like we do not have faith? It is because we are not growing in the word. As long you are not living by the word you can’t have faith, Jesus was the faith of the disciples, and they had so much confidence in him and His ability to do everything. So likewise we must have confidence in the ability of Jesus as if he were present now with us. Confidence in the person and ability of Jesus is Faith. Did you notice that the disciples couldn’t manifest in faith without the presence of Jesus, and even when they did manifest faith without him, he breathed upon them the Holy Spirit, so in the absence of Christ the Holy Spirit takes over? In the Gospels their faith rested on Jesus (His Physical Presence).  Now our Faith rests on the person of the Holy Spirit. The presence of the holy spirit within proves that we have Christ.

FAITH IS UNIVERSAL

Faith is Universal

We only need to have faith and all things are possible. Faith is sufficient for all aspects of life, if you have faith to be healed and you don't have faith for provision then your faith is incomplete, faith is complete trust in God's ability. In faith you look up to God and not your circumstances, the focus must always be God, whatever circumstances we face just has to bow to God, because we see with the eye of faith. Well if you have trained your soul to always look up to God it won't be hard.
So we just need train our minds to conform to God's word, more like a default setting, like refer back to God. This faith (complete trust in God's ability through Christ Jesus), is built in relationship. If our relationship with God is wholesome, nothing can shake us, even when sometimes our faith seems weak we are quick to acknowledge the strength of God.

God has been dealing with me on faith, some of my thoughts I shared on the blog: houseofdunamis.blogspot.com

INWARD FAITH AND OUTWARD FAITH (#Encounter series 3) Heb 11:1 (PART 2)

We stand a chance of going extinct with our faith if that is the way we view Faith, Faith is Universal. In terms of concept, if we are to define faith as a phenomenon then it is a concept, it represents one thing, but there are several effects of faith upon a man's life. a man of faith manifests different level of trust in God, Just like sin Faith is both a nature and an action, an action we express that shows our trust in God is referred to as an act of faith. but in terms of looking at acts of faith persecution and martyrdom is as much an act of faith as walking on waters or healing the sick, Now we regard Faith as a concept and as a nature as INWARD FAITH, and Faith as an act as OUTWARD FAITH.

Inward faith grows by hearing the word of God, and it does not depend on circumstances, each challenge or situation that brings itself only presents inward faith with the opportunity to express itself, the extent to which faith expresses itself is a testament to our level of communion and faithfulness. Outward faith is expressed or is only seen when an opportunity presents itself for a man to defend his faith, it is a doing but it is a reflection to the extent to which inward faith has developed.

Brethren before we talk about faith let us have a definite understanding of what it means, faith is the expression of our relationship with God, we shouldn't be caught in the mistake of attaching faith with principles of asking and requesting, a person of faith knows is request has been granted, mind you we must spend time to develop faith (wholesome faith) because without faith it is impossible to please God, he that must come to God must believe that he is and he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him, not as if we are striving to please God but instead we can't meet the requirement for getting pleasure of God if we don't act in faith. God would do nothing without faith anybody that does not have faith cannot partake of God. Faith expresses all that God is, and it is not in degrees. Simple faith opens any door. All that is needed is an iota of faith, the popular culture now is for ministers to preach incomplete faith, which is a form of idolatry, any faith that does not get you focusing on Jesus but circumstances is not faith, how do i mean, in some churches pastors preach on having faith for financial breakthrough, this churches exhibit high level of financial success but that is all the side of faith they have seen, others focus on healing and are deficient in other things. what this does is to breed idolatry, or faith consumers. these Christians are only focused on getting their needs and wants, they have lost the sweet pleasure of having a faith that focuses on Jesus. This faith is idolatry, because it doesn't teach us to hope in or completely trust God. we know to handle every other aspects of our lives but turn all attention to God on the thing we want to have faith in for example provision. most of this Christians are greedy, and they love the life of the flesh more than the life of the spirit, in other words they are carnal Christians.

INWARD FAITH AND OUTWARD FAITH (#Encounter series 5) Heb 11:1 (Part1)

When i began to search deeper what faith meant i realised faith was simply the holy spirit i know some people might think i am actually going to far but wait and go along with me on this journey most of the terminologies used in Heb 11:1 are foreign, to us i have decided to do an in-depth study on faith and i won't stop until the holy spirit witnesses in my spirit to do so, morning by morning new revelations keep flooding my spirit on the topic of faith and i had decided to discard all that i knew.

So then what is Faith?

Heb 11:1 is the only scripture we have that gives us a direct definition of faith and this definition has birthed many revelations, some doctrinally sound and others not too sound, but as i kept studying the Holy Spirit began to put this witness within my spirit and several times kept redirecting me to study Hebrews 11:1 again at first my spirit defined or substituted faith with / as complete trust in God's ability through Christ Jesus, but recently Faith has come alive in a different way for some days the Holy S
pirit seemed to witness to my spirit that i am faith.

So i began meditating on all the things i know about the workings of the holy spirit for him to have claimed to be faith.

In Ephesians 1:13-14, In whom you also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also after that ye believed ye where sealed, with that holy spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Also 2 cor 1:21-22 now he which Establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.
when i began to look at it literarily.

FAITH is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen, the holy spirit is a substance given to us and he is also a hope we have of our eternal redemption.

Faith is a substance likewise, the holy spirit is a substance given to us to guarantee our possession and our final appearance with God though we haven't seen Jesus we believe we would see him and we act like we have seen him our seeing Jesus or not seeing him does not diminish our eternal life, we already have eternal life. without the holy spirit faith is dead,

Our faith as a substance is also an evidence of what is unseen, the holy spirit also been a substance is an evidence of the unseen Christ and the Glory to come. In popular christian culture faith is said to be what you can attach to what you are believing God for, the popular examples are when you need something from God, you begin to meditate on the word of God, that addresses what you need or that strengthens your faith in what you believe God for, you keep confessing the scriptures until that thing manifests, that has been the popular believe, while this principle is right it does not define faith it only reflects faith. When in Hebrews Faith was defined it wasn't a system, while naturally when we believe God for something shows we are executing faith, it does not define faith just because we can hold onto the word of God to believe God for what we desire, and eventually get that thing does not mean that faith has being executed.

Heroes of Faith (#Encounter series 4) Heb 11

Rachab
We want to talk about rachab who was willing to sacrifice all she had by sacrificing her life to house spies from Israel, she turned her brothel into a spy agency. Her faith grew from the stories she heard of God's dealings with Israel and she had longed for His salvation secretly, praying that God would some day come and deliver her, for she had anticipated that the way Israel where journeying, her city was the next to be conquered and this faith made her to to remodel her house for Israel's espionage. Strangers who were trained killer's, who would not have hesitated to kill her had something gone wrong, by her act of faith she was able to save her family and prevent their destruction along with the whole of Jericho. Her act of faith qualified her to be recognised as a patriarch of faith, a reference, we now refer to. She willingly risked all because she had developed feelings for God, this growing faith made her to withstand her king, because through the eye of faith she had seen the destruction of Jericho and had warned her nation but they put their hope in devices of men, and their great wall. She was not scared of being found out because Faith had prepared her before hand  She was so convinced in the ability of the God of all flesh and she saw this as her deliverance from sin, for I doubt that poverty made her practice prostitution, for it had become a career.

I just wonder how can one with such a darkened and reprobate mind begin to develop feelings for God? The answer is faith.

Ruth
Ruth gave herself away to become another's property even Naomi, preferring to go childless and husbandless all her life just because she wanted to meet with Naomi's people and God, for she desperately lunged for the faith she saw in Naomi which she couldn't find in her own people, with all the tragedy that befell Naomi yet her faith remained unwavered, for she had grown to love God during her marriage and she was not ready to continue living without him, Naomi was a great influence on her, how she was able to weather through the storm, she wondered what kind of a thing is her hope anchored on.
When Naomi decided to go back to Israel it was not hard for Ruth to make her choice, because she knew that moab was no place to nurture her growing faith, it was not an option for her to stay back in moab because she had concluded in her heart, that anywhere her mother-in-law went she would go, because in her mind after her husband's death she started to see herself as Naomi's daughter even though there where nothing to tie her to her again, not even an issue. Her resolve to follow Naomi came with certain sacrifices to her, her record in moab would be wiped out and she stood a chance of being an outcast in Israel. With no source of lively hood, she was prepared to face all these. Unknown to her God had other things in store, her salvation was in Naomi in the form of Boaz a kinsman redeemer.

Should we talk about Stephen, who by faith gave up the ghost.
